1971 Volvo 164

Some video of starting up the car for the first time. The backfire is pretty funny – remnants of the last bit of old gas in the carburetors. At this point I haven’t adjusted anything and the timing is set for top dead center. Haven’t touched the carburetors.

This one is after I put the vacuum diaphragm back on correctly on the rear carb. It still doesn’t open quite as much as the front one – not sure if this is normal? Also you can see the start of the smoke from the exhaust manifold. Listen to those 6 cylinders hum!
