1971 Volvo 164

The new waterpump, alternator, and radiator are in the car – after fighting with it for a bit last night.  Didn’t clean all the old RTV sealant and so the first shot at putting the waterpump back on and filling the radiator resulted in a leaky mess.  Jim and I took everything back off, cleaned the old stuff off, and put everything back on.  We’re letting it sit overnight so the new RTV can cure and we’ll try filling it up again tonight.  Hopefully we won’t have to do it again twice.  That sucked.  I stripped some of the threads on the new alternator mounting bolt (d’oh) but Jim had the good idea to pull a bolt out of the AC compressor (which isnt used anyway) and that seemed to work.  New paint job on the radiator too.
